It’s been a struggle to get to this point, but it was worth it: These shapes are visually working really well! Each shape will correspond to the different process I using when exploring the potential of a rock as pigment. As such, it will support this sculptural mind-map, tinker-toy set as being something process based.
Of course these are just the wooden shapes – each will be painted with the resulting pigment colour before installed. Whether or not I will apply the pigment to all, or just the outer, faces is something I’m still playing with.
I don’t foresee the rods as being overly difficult to settle on, so I think my next step will be to create the pieces I need and then create my first pigment branch!
